UNITAID, a WHO-hosted global health agency, is hiring a remote consultant to support Regional Manufacturing for Equitable Access (RMEA). This 11-month consultancy offers a monthly rate of $7,000 β $9,980 USD, depending on experience.
π About the Role
The selected consultant will support the RMEA teamβs mission of expanding regional manufacturing capacity β with an initial focus on Africa and the potential to scale into Latin America and other underserved regions. The role focuses on transitioning strategies into implementation, deepening strategic partnerships, and improving stakeholder coordination.
π Key Responsibilities
Over the course of the 11-month consultancy, the consultant will:

β Support transition to implementation phase by January 2026

β Coordinate 3+ global or regional stakeholder events

β Develop a stakeholder management strategy and tracking tool

β Operationalize 1+ strategic partnership agreements

β Design and roll out an internal coordination tool

β Deliver 3 technical reports summarizing insights and project progress

π Qualifications
Education
-
Required: Bachelorβs degree in engineering, life sciences, pharmacy, public health, or business administration

Preferred: Advanced degree or certifications in health product development or manufacturing
Experience

Minimum of 5 years in project or grant management

LMIC and multi-stakeholder coordination experience

Working knowledge of the manufacturing value chain and healthcare supply chains

Preferred: Experience in regulatory affairs, IP, quality assurance, or global health access initiatives

Financial literacy and comfort with grant management a plus
