✨ Job Summary:
Are you passionate about education in emergency contexts, education data, and international development? UNESCO is seeking a Project Officer to support global initiatives in education data systems and M&E frameworks. Based in Paris, this role offers the chance to directly influence education policy, planning, and emergency response strategies in countries like South Sudan, Sudan, and Ukraine.
You’ll work under the guidance of senior education officers and collaborate with partners worldwide to drive change in fragile education systems.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation:

Lead UNESCO’s M&E system setup for Sudan’s Transitional Education Plan (2025–2027)

Support EiE (Education in Emergencies) data integration into national EMIS platforms

Provide technical support to UNESCO field teams and country-level partners

Advance global dialogue on education e-governance, M&E, and crisis-sensitive planning
Knowledge Development:

Build frameworks and tools (e.g., EMIS PATT) to strengthen EMIS and sector planning

Produce learning briefs, technical notes, and strategic reports

Conduct research on education data systems in emergency contexts
Partnerships & Advocacy:

Work with internal/external partners to promote joint analysis of education data

Support funding efforts and project alignment with global EMIS and climate data integration
