πΌ Role Summary
The selected expert will support national and regional initiatives by identifying viable low-carbon hydrogen projects, coordinating stakeholders, and guiding proposal development. This includes technical feasibility analysis, pre-feasibility studies, project design, and monitoring. The incumbent will also work with multilateral donors (GCF, GEF, EU) to help secure funding and ensure alignment with national development goals.
π Key Responsibilities
Project Development & Stakeholder Engagement

Identify and justify low-carbon hydrogen project opportunities

Analyze technical, economic, and environmental information

Draft and refine project proposals with national partners

Review pre-feasibility assessments and align them with policy priorities
Project Execution & Monitoring

Develop project schedules, implementation methods, and coordination strategies

Monitor projects through reports, discussions, and site evaluations

Propose corrective actions and improvement recommendations

Prepare and disseminate stakeholder progress reports

π Qualifications

Education: Advanced university degree in Energy, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, or related field.

Experience:

5+ years in technical cooperation or project portfolio management

Experience in renewables, hydrogen, or low-emission technology

Proven track record with multilateral donor-funded projects (GEF, GCF, EU)

Exposure to developing or transitioning economies (e.g., Brazil, Mexico, South Africa)

Strong technical writing and cross-cultural communication skills
