As part of IRC’s Crisis Response, Recovery, and Development (CRRD) division, the MEAL Global Practice Lead will guide the organization’s approach to data, learning, and program accountability across all technical sectors — from health to economic wellbeing.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
🧭 Strategic Leadership

Lead the MEAL Technical Working Group across sectors

Define global MEAL standards and core indicators

Ensure consistent programmatic performance tracking and feedback use
🧠 Technical Oversight

Develop and refine data systems, methodologies, and toolkits

Align MEAL strategies with the Program Indicator Dashboard (PID) and digital platforms
-
Embed MEAL into program design and evaluation cycles

📚 Capacity Building

Train and mentor MEAL staff globally

Host cross-sector learning and communities of practice

Strengthen regional and country-level MEAL integration
🌍 External Engagement

Represent IRC in global MEAL and donor forums

Build partnerships with UN agencies, academia, NGOs, and private sector actors

Support MEAL alignment with major grant proposals
🎓 Qualifications
Education:
-
Master’s in Monitoring & Evaluation, Public Policy, Development, or similar

OR equivalent extensive MEAL experience in humanitarian settings
Experience:

Proven success leading multi-country MEAL strategies
-
Deep skills in qualitative & quantitative evaluation

Advanced use of analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, dashboards)

Excellent mentoring, training, and stakeholder communication skills
-
English fluency; French, Spanish, or Arabic preferred

Willingness to travel up to 25% globally
