Purpose of Job
The Analyst, Corporate Events and Annual Meetings is responsible for the scoping, project management and delivery of all Board related meetings, internal and external retreats, conferences, cultural events and awards ceremonies hosted at the Bank’s HQ, assigned event streams at Annual Meetings and regional fora. The role is also responsible for training and supervising temporary staff resources engaged in internal and external events.
The role involves interaction externally with ministries, embassies, other IFIs, chambers of commerce and investment promotion agencies, venues and suppliers. Internally, the role liaises with the Board of Directors, Executive Committee and Senior Management across EBRD departments including Banking, Resident Offices, Communications, Business Development, Corporate Strategy, PODD, Business Development, Corporate Services, IT and other departments as required.
Background
The Analyst, Corporate Events and Annual Meetings role is based in the Office of the Secretary General (OSG). OSG acts as secretariat to the EBRD Board of Governors and Board of Directors and their committees and as the official channel of communication between the EBRD and its shareholders. It is responsible for the organisation of the Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors, all meetings of the Board of Directors, other large events organised under the auspices of the EBRD and all protocol matters involving VIPs from shareholder governments.
The Analyst is accountable for scoping and all organisational aspects of assigned corporate events and communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The Analyst demonstrates expertise and provides guidance for all Bank events that require a virtual or hybrid solution, engaging with senior bank staff, AV and broadcast, IT and event production counterparts as necessary.
In consultation with the Associate Director, AMPEM, the role is also responsible for the implementation of assigned Board of Governors sessions and institutional events at the Annual Meeting, panel discussions and investment outlook sessions and other events such as the Annual Donor Meeting and CSO programme. This workstream involves close collaboration and coordination with the Principal, Annual Meeting Event Management, Board and Institutional Affairs and other internal stakeholders.

Excellent communication skills in English, written and spoken. Knowledge of other official languages of the EBRD is an advantage.
