UNICEF Remote Consultant: Lead Global Communications for Community Health (USA)
Are you a strategic communicator passionate about public health, global advocacy, and creating measurable impact? UNICEF is hiring a Remote Communications & Advocacy Consultant to support its Community Health Delivery Partnership (CHDP).
In this remote consultancy, you will lead communication and advocacy efforts that amplify the voices of countries and communities advancing child and maternal health. From digital storytelling to high-level event support, you will play a vital role in showcasing results and driving resource mobilization.
Location: Remote (U.S.-based applicants welcome)
Contract Duration: July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026
Compensation: $6,000+ USD/month

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
- Develop and maintain compelling advocacy materials and digital content
- Coordinate social media campaigns, newsletters, and CHDP website updates
- Prepare briefing documents, speeches, and multimedia content for UNICEF leadership
Event & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support planning and execution of high-level events (UNGA, World Health Assembly, etc.)
- Coordinate communication outputs for CHDP Technical Working Group
- Liaise with global partners, UNICEF country offices, and donor networks
Project Support & Content Creation
- Create quarterly newsletters, regional profiles, and advocacy toolkits
- Maintain shared folders, content calendars, and stakeholder mailing lists
- Contribute to leadership updates, donor reports, and visual storytelling products

UNICEF Remote Consultant
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 6+ years experience in public health, global development, or strategic communications
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience preparing high-level content
- Familiarity with community health systems, UN communications standards, and stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to manage virtual collaboration with internal and external teams
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Communications, Journalism, Political Science, or related
