🔍 Job Description
Under the direction of the Director of ICTP, and supervision of the Head of ICT and IT Engineer, the selected IT Assistant will work in the Information Systems Development team. The focus will be on supporting and enhancing “Sigma,” ICTP’s integrated information system for visitor selection, visits, and activity management.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Configure and manage Sigma system settings.

Monitor Sigma’s interfaces with other systems and conduct data cleaning tasks.

Contribute to the design and implementation of system features in collaboration with the IT Engineer.

Conduct testing from a quality assurance (QA) perspective.

Roll out features and conduct user training sessions.

Draft user manuals, technical documentation, and training materials.

Gather feedback from users, propose improvements, and ensure prompt response to IT-related inquiries.

🎓 Qualifications
📘 Education:

A secondary education diploma is required.

Relevant technical/vocational certifications in IT or software systems will be an asset.
💼 Experience:

At least five years of experience in information systems support, preferably in public institutions or international organizations.

Experience with database-driven systems, QA testing, and user support.

Proficiency in system documentation and user training delivery.
🧠 Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of relational databases, system configuration, and data quality assurance.
