Are you passionate about gender equality and results-based development? UN Women is hiring a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Consultant for a remote, full-time, 6-month consultancy. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in development programming, evaluation, and working with women’s rights organizations.
As part of the Governance, Resilience, Inclusion, and Gender Equality (GRIG) team, you’ll help strengthen monitoring systems, empower feminist organizations, and ensure data-driven progress toward gender-responsive Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

📝 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitoring and Evaluation Technical Support
-
Implement and manage M&E plans for gender equality programmes.

Design data collection tools, support evaluations, and provide technical feedback.

Ensure high-quality, timely results-based reporting and compliance.
2. Capacity Building for Feminist Organizations
-
Build M&E skills and Results-Based Management capacity of women’s rights organizations (WROs).

Support partners in monitoring frameworks, quarterly reports, and growth tracking.
3. Knowledge Management & Learning
-
Document best practices and lessons learned.

Embed a learning culture through reflection and adaptation.
4. Support Programme Implementation

Provide daily technical and coordination support to UN Women and partners.

Align programme activities with gender-responsive results frameworks.
✅ QUALIFICATIONS

🎓 Education: Master’s in Gender Studies, Development, Social Sciences, or similar field.

🧑💼 Experience:
-
At least 5 years in M&E for development programs.

2+ years in gender equality programming.

Experience supporting community-based or feminist organizations.

Knowledge of Results-Based Management and gender-sensitive indicators.

🌐 Language: Fluency in English and Nepali required.
