TechSoup, a global nonprofit social enterprise, is seeking a Paralegal to join its NGOsource program. This temporary, full-time remote position offers a unique opportunity to use your legal expertise for social good, supporting a service that helps U.S. funders make international grants. The successful candidate will be a key player in ensuring compliance with international philanthropy regulations and equivalency determination requirements.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal compliance specialist with strong analytical skills and an interest in international nonprofit work. Working closely with attorneys, you will provide specialized support to a program that serves over 600 grantmaker members, including many of the largest international grantmakers in the U.S.
Key Responsibilities for this Remote Paralegal
- Document Analysis & Quality Control: Carefully review legal documents and compliance filings for accuracy and adherence to equivalency determination standards.
- Error Identification & Resolution: Identify discrepancies or missing information and develop clear corrective action plans.
- Client Communication: Professionally communicate with international NGOs to request corrections, clarifications, and additional documentation.
- Administrative Support: Maintain organized case files, track submission statuses, and ensure timely processing of requests.
- Legal Research & Database Management: Assist attorneys with research on international nonprofit law and maintain the NGOsource repository.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of paralegal experience in a legal or nonprofit setting.
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills, especially in professional correspondence.
- Experience with document review and legal analysis.
- Proficiency in case management systems and legal databases.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Commitment to confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
- A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience.
- Experience with international law, nonprofit compliance, or grant-making processes.
- Knowledge of 501(c)(3) tax-exempt regulations.
- Foreign language skills are beneficial.
This is a temporary, full-time position for 6 months, with the possibility of hire. The base salary range is $52,000-$70,000 plus benefits.
