The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) is inviting applications for an HR Assistant position in 2025. This is a G-5 level administrative role supporting recruitment, staffing, and personnel management to help advance global human rights initiatives.
The selected candidate will be part of the Programme Support and Management Services – Human Resources Management Section – Partnerships and Affiliated Workforce (PAW) Unit, reporting directly to an HR Officer.
Key Responsibilities

Process applications, maintain candidate case files, arrange interviews, and update the automated roster.

Assist in screening and evaluating candidates for clerical, secretarial, and related posts.

Review and process entitlements, claims, and classification requests.

Maintain IMIS entitlements reference tables.

Provide procedural guidance on classification processes.

Calculate and process consultant/contractor fees according to UN guidelines.

Review job openings for consultants, contractors, and interns.
Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).

Experience:
-
5 years in HR, administration, or related field (reduced to 3 years with a degree).

ERP system experience (e.g., Umoja).

Data analysis and reporting experience.

UN system or similar international organization experience desirable.
