Director of Foundation Relations (Remote) at GFNE
The Global Fund for a New Economy (GFNE) seeks an experienced and dynamic Director of Foundation Relations to lead and expand its engagement with philanthropic foundations. Consequently, this remote position presents an outstanding opportunity for a fundraising leader to play a key role in building a new economic system that benefits all people and protects our planet. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director develops and executes a fundraising strategy that secures significant, multi-year institutional grants.
This role is for a strategic, results-oriented fundraising leader who demonstrates a proven track record of securing six- and seven-figure foundation grants. Specifically, as the primary relationship manager for GFNE’s institutional funders, this Director of Foundation Relations builds long-term partnerships and secures the resources needed to drive a global movement for a new economy.

Key Responsibilities for this Development Director
- Fundraising Strategy & Execution: The Director develops and implements a comprehensive strategy to secure foundation grants. This, in turn, involves identifying new prospects, leading the creation of compelling proposals, and managing a robust pipeline.
- Foundation Relationship Management: The Director serves as the primary relationship manager for GFNE’s portfolio of institutional funders, enhancing visibility and engagement in funder meetings and industry events.
- Collaboration & Internal Leadership: The Director works closely with the senior leadership team to align fundraising priorities with organizational strategy and contributes to the overall development strategy and long-term sustainability of the fund.

Required Qualifications
- At least 7-10 years of experience in institutional fundraising, grantmaking, or a related field.
- A proven track record of securing foundation funding at six- and seven-figure levels.

Preferred Qualifications

This is a full-time, remote position with a salary range of $160,000-$175,000 USD. However, some travel is expected to meet with colleagues and partners.
