The Associate Field Operations Officer plays a key part in planning, executing, and monitoring ICAO’s technical cooperation projects for Member States and international partners. This role involves project lifecycle management, administrative coordination, and collaboration with technical experts.
The incumbent reports to the Head of the Operations Unit and may supervise project support staff as assigned.
🛠 Responsibilities

Manage the initiation, implementation, and closure of field projects using ICAO’s CDI (Civil Aviation Development and Implementation) procedures

Support administrative processes within the Section and contribute to technical meetings

Oversee documentation, reporting, and internal coordination

Provide mentorship to support staff and ensure quality delivery

Liaise with Member States and donors as needed
🎓 Requirements
A first-level university degree in:

Management

Business Administration

Or a related field
Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2)
Minimum 3 years of experience in:

Project management in a civil aviation authority, international organization, or technical assistance environment

Preferred Experience:

Prior work in an aviation-related international environment (e.g., UN or ICAO member agencies)
